Color Poems

Last week I did two posts on blue poems. This week the color is red. It was so much fun because I didn’t have much experience with red. Here are the questions that my teacher put on the sheet:

What things LOOK red?     What Things SOUND red?

What things SMELL red?     How does red FEEL?

What makes YOU FEEL red?     What things TASTE red?

What EXPERIENCES or IDEAS seem red?    Can you think of any red PLACE?

Now here are the answers:

Red looks like a fresh, ripe, juicy strawberry.

Red sounds like fire crackers crackling.

Red smells like a big, red campfire.    Red feels like the stem of a cherry.

Red makes me angry and mad.

Red tastes like cherries, raspberries, strawberries, tomatoes and apples.

Red is like a fire truck.    Red is like the Golden Gate Bridge.

Did you like my answers? I hope you did. I spent a long time on this piece and I think if you did too you would have a great poem.

Would You Like To Do A Poem On Red?

I could of done gold, red, orange, yellow, green, purple, pink, black or white. I was one of the many people who did blue. I really liked talking but I have to go. Please answer the question below:

Twitter Color Poems

This week are buddies in Canada have made another Twitter challenge. Last time we did an alphabet one. This time it was a color challenge. This week the color was blue. There were lots of questions and here they are:

What Things LOOK Blue?  What Things SOUND Blue?

What Things SMELL Blue?  How Does Blue FEEL?

Wat Makes YOU FEEL Blue?  What Things TASTE Blue?

What EXPERIENCES Or IDEAS seem Blue?  Can You Think Of Any Blue PLACES?

And this is what I wrote for them:

Blue looks like a big, bright, blue ocean.   Blue sounds like wet, crashing waves.

Blue smells like the saltiness of the ocean.   Blue feels like a bluejays feather.

Blue makes my feel sadder than a song from the blues.    Blue tastes like a juicy blueberry.

Blue is beautiful dreams.     Blue is a dashing waterfall.

I wrote this on twitter and did a big bowl of blueberries for the picture. I had a lot of fun with this project because I got to be free with my writing.

Pick Two Of The Questions And Put Your Answer In The Comment.

Is Your Favorite Color Blue?

Leadership

Do you know what leadership is? Well if you don’t  I’m going to share it with you. Leadership is when you are  leader for someone. A leader is showing someone what your as post to do.  An example is when my soccer coach said I was a leader at soccer practice because I was doing what I was as posed to do. People that I know that are leaders are always trying to do their best when they’re working. Here are some of them:  Anika, Lily, Grace, Kaia, Tate, Nate, Caleb and Lucas.

Do You Know Someones Who’s A leader?

Are You A Leader?

How My mothers Day Ended Up

On Mother’s Day I woke up at my grandmas house. I made a yogurt parfait. I went to church and met my aunt. She gave me my adult bible! We worked on questions because in a segment of the bible Tomas asked questions if Jesus was really back from the dead. When church was over I went to lunch with my grandma and my aunt. I got pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs. I went to my sisters (Olivia) softball game and I saw my mom for the first time that day. I watched the rest of the game and went home. We had salmon, mushrooms and asparagus for dinner. Olivia got the Key-lime  pie and we had it for dessert. I played the guitar for them. Then my grandma and my aunt left.

Miles In May

This week my school is doing something called miles in May. You can run, walk, skip or jog. I like to run and jog. There are cards that go up to twenty little feet. Five little feet is one mile. Miles in May makes you healthy and it helps your brain focus. There is a track behind our playground. Last year I finished twenty cards and this year I want to finish fifty. I can’t wait for recess.

If there are 5 laps in one mile, how many miles are 40 laps?

Do You Want To Do Miles In May?

Do You Think  You Would  Be Good At Miles In May?

My Schools Community Garden

What is a community garden? My schools community garden is a place to be outdoors and to learn about plants. Last time we went we planted lettuce seedlings radish seeds. We Poled out weeds and talked a lot about seeds. Each of the benches in the garden that you sat at had a different pack of seeds and two lettuce seeds. My group had Sweet Corn. We wrote down the facts of some of it. It was super fun!

Goals

One of my goals is to become a better soccer player. I need to practice offense and the keeper. I like diving and the  W catch the most.  I think that I’m great at scoop and basket catches.  I also need to be better at offence when I’m dribbling the ball.  If I do not achieve this goal by the fall I will practice more with my dad and coach Heather.

Do you have any goals?
