Last week I did two posts on blue poems. This week the color is red. It was so much fun because I didn’t have much experience with red. Here are the questions that my teacher put on the sheet:
What things LOOK red? What Things SOUND red?
What things SMELL red? How does red FEEL?
What makes YOU FEEL red? What things TASTE red?
What EXPERIENCES or IDEAS seem red? Can you think of any red PLACE?
Now here are the answers:
Red looks like a fresh, ripe, juicy strawberry.
Red sounds like fire crackers crackling.
Red smells like a big, red campfire. Red feels like the stem of a cherry.
Red makes me angry and mad.
Red tastes like cherries, raspberries, strawberries, tomatoes and apples.
Red is like a fire truck. Red is like the Golden Gate Bridge.
Did you like my answers? I hope you did. I spent a long time on this piece and I think if you did too you would have a great poem.
